At Mind Garden our approach firmly believes in two things. First, it is the therapeutic relationship that heals. Secondly, it is necessary to briefly revisit the past if it continues to hinder our present and our potential future. We do this through EMDR Therapy.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an empirically validated treatment for trauma. The goal of EMDR is to not only target the past events that trigger disturbance. But to also target the current situations that trigger disturbance and determine the skills and education needed for future functioning.
